About Luz Del Sol

Luz Del Sol Coffee is a Salvadoran pop-up café based in Atlanta, GA, founded by me, Natyelli Lopez.

Luz Del Sol translates to “light from the sun” in Spanish and is inspired by the rich coffee culture of El Salvador and Latin America—where coffee is enjoyed first thing in the morning or as soon as the sun's light touches the sky.

As an immigrant from El Salvador, I know firsthand how daunting it can be to build community in a place that feels unfamiliar—especially in spaces where the people and customs are so different. It can be intimidating and, for a fellow introvert, sometimes feel almost impossible.

That changed when I started working as a barista at a coffee shop. I met and worked with so many great people from all kinds of backgrounds. People who, on the surface, had nothing in common—yet connected through coffee and food. I fell in love with that connection, and with the craft itself.

I knew then that I wanted to pursue this further and share it through the lens of my own culture. And that’s how Luz Del Sol Coffee was born.

My hope is to bring the culture, the community, and the coffee to you!
