About Luz Del Sol Coffee

Luz Del Sol Coffee is a coffee cart and pop-up based in Atlanta, GA, Owned and Operated by Natyelli Lopez. Luz del sol means light from the sunin Spanish. The name is a reflection of the radiant spirit of El Salvador and Latin America. In it’s sunshine, it’s climate, and it’s people. Like the sunrise, it’s a reminder of new beginnings and the comfort of starting a new day with something familiar and comforting Like a cup of cafecito.

My family and I immigrated to the U.S. when I was six years old, fleeing the violence and instability that affected El Salvador at the time. Despite the challenges and the negative stereotypes often associated with country, I was raised to deeply love and appreciate my roots especially through food and drink, like pupusas and coffee.

As a Latina immigrant, I know how intimidating it can be to find a sense of belonging in a place that feels unfamiliar, especially in spaces that don’t reflect your culture or experiences.

But everything changed when I started working as a barista. In the coffee world, I found connection. I met people from all walks of life people who, on the surface, had nothing in common, yet bonded over a shared love of coffee and food. I fell in love with the craft, the culture, and the community it created.

I knew then that I wanted to pursue this further and share it through the lens of my own culture. And that’s how Luz Del Sol Coffee was born.

My mission is simple: to bring culture, community, and coffee together to serve you sunshine in a cup. I hope to create a space where people feel welcome, where stories are shared, and where the warmth of El Salvador can be felt in every cup.
